In addition to a natural flowing virtuosity the german flautist Silvia Denk outstands for her subtle musical interpretations and her intense, expressive and warm-hearted playing.

 

 

 

Silvia Denk was born in Passau / Bavaria.She studied flute and cello at the Musikhochschule Nuremberg. After graduating with a teaching diploma she finished her studies with the concert-diploma in flute.

Silvia Denk completed a wide range of masterclasses and played in a variety of concerts, projects and festivals.

 

After some time as musician and teacher she realised her long-held dream of a special shop venue offering fragrances combined with music and concerts (classic, latin, chanson, tango, jazz etc.) in this shop as well as in other locations. For a few years Silvia Denk developed this concept in her hometown of Passau in her shop called „ La Vie en Rose“ - the rose as a symbol of love, fragrance, beauty, harmony and pleasure...

She then closed her shop, in order to devote all of her time to music...

At the end of 2013 Silvia Denk met the Japanese pianist and Bösendorfer-Artist Madoka Inui, who lives in Vienna.In Duo Pianofluteconnection the two musicians have since given several successful concerts.

Silvia Denk won 1.prize and Judges´ Distinction Award in flute at American Protégé International Music Competition which lead her to debut in Carnegie Hall New York in Mai 2016.

In August 2016 the flutist was honoured after final round once again with 1. prize in TIM International Music Competition (Turin/Italy).

Actually Silvia Denk won a another 1. prize at American Protégé International Music Competition (Romantic Music) and is invited to play in Carnegie Hall again (spring 2019).
